FAQ
About the tournament
What is KICKOFF.EE?
An independent series of EA SPORTS FC cups for players in Estonia, named FC27 KickOff Eesti #0, #1, #2 and so on. Right now every cup is played online from home — no travel needed. Live, in-person events are planned for the future.
Who can play?
Players based in Estonia. You need a Discord account (and must meet Discord's minimum age) and an EA account on your platform.
Which platforms?
PS5, Xbox and PC. Players on different platforms can only be matched if both have cross-play turned on, so tell us your platform when you register.
Which game modes?
Each cup has one mode: Kick Off, Ultimate Team, 2v2 or Penalties shootout. The mode and match settings are shown on the cup's page.
What formats do you use?
Single elimination, double elimination, round robin, group stage + knockout, Swiss, or league phase + playoffs. The format is shown on every cup and you can filter cups by format on the Cups page.
How much does it cost? Are there prizes?
Our cups are currently free to enter. The prize for each cup is shown on its page — for our first cup it is the Cup trophy for first place. If entry fees are ever introduced, they are announced before registration opens and never exceed EA's community limits.
Registering
How do I register?
Open the cup on the Cups page and press Register. It takes you to a short Google Form. Each cup shows exactly when registration opens and closes (Tallinn time).
When does registration close?
Usually 3 days before the cup starts. The status on each cup updates automatically: Coming soon → Registration open → Registration closed → Live → Finished.
How do I know I'm in?
Confirmed players appear in the Participants tab of the cup page.
Can I change my details or withdraw?
Yes — message an admin on Discord before registration closes.
Match day
Where do I find my opponent?
On the cup page: open Fixtures and use "Find my matches", or follow the Bracket tab. Open a match to see your opponent's EA ID, Discord and platform (if they chose to share them). Pairings are also posted in Discord.
When do I play?
Each round has an approximate start time in Tallinn time on the cup page. Times can shift if earlier rounds run late — keep an eye on the page and Discord.
Who sends the game invite?
Anybody can send the game invite and host the game.
My opponent isn't showing up.
Tag an admin in Discord. If they're not ready 5-10 minutes after your ping, the admin may award you a win by forfeit.
I got disconnected.
Take a screenshot or clip and tell your opponent and an admin right away. See "Pauses & disconnects" on the Rules page.
How are results reported?
Post a screenshot of the final score in Discord. An admin enters it and the bracket updates live on the site — matches being played right now show a LIVE badge.
Rankings
How are ranking points calculated?
Points depend on final place, how many players played and the cup multiplier, with participation points for playing. Shared places average their place weights; no-shows and disqualified players receive zero. See How points work on Rankings for the current settings and examples. How points work
Is there a season reset?
No. The ranking is one ongoing table with a rolling period (by default the last 12 months). Results from cups finalised before the period stop counting automatically, with no reset. Older results stay in your player history marked as expired, and titles, podiums and best finish are kept all-time. If a best-N limit is set, only your best N results within the period count.
How are ties broken?
Most titles first, then most podium finishes, then the highest single result. Players still tied share the rank.
When do rankings update?
Automatically when an organizer finalises the cup. New players are added to the rankings after their first finalised cup.
Can I hide my contact details?
Yes. Ask an admin to turn off "Show contact details" for you — your EA ID and Discord will then not be shown publicly.
Everything else
When is the next tournament?
See the countdown on the home page and the Cups page. Announcements are also posted in Discord.
Where can I see old results?
Finished cups are listed under Past cups on the Cups page, with final places and full brackets.
Can I stream or record my matches?
Yes. Let your opponent know first, and don't show anyone's private information.
What do you do with my data?
We use your name, email, platform, EA ID and Discord username only to run the cups. Email is never shown publicly and we don't sell your data. Message an admin to see or delete it.
I want to sponsor us or host a live event.
We'd love to hear from you — we're looking for sponsors and a live venue. See the About page or DM an admin on Discord.
Can I help moderate or organise?
Yes, tell an admin on Discord. We're always looking for reliable helpers.
Is this connected to EA?
No. This is an independent community tournament, not affiliated with or endorsed by EA.
